The Widows and Wives Club collected funds throughout the year for wreaths to be placed at the head stones, markers in the scattering garden and along the columbium walls of our country’s veterans in the Washington State Veterans Cemetery.

The Wreaths Across America ceremony was held this year on December 13th at noon.  The total number of wreaths we contributed to the 800+ was 196 which equals about $2,000 in cash.  Three of the club’s members helped place the wreaths, Beth Ann Daigre, Denise Walker and Jan Munson.  Denise collected $500 and Jan collected $225.

This was our first year of being a sponsor as the MOAA Widows and Wives Club and hope to increase our collections each year as more of our veterans are placed to rest with their comrades in arms.
